Yes, I have been sand blasted a few times. I think I am going to start digging a nice little trench half way out to the water. If they come by to close at a high speed and hit it, it will jar them quite a bit. If they are driving slow, they'll see it and either drive around it or drive through it slowly. Sometimes I do park and hang out near the water to avoid just that.
Ya, I figure if I dig it by hand, it will keep me busy for about two hours and be good exercise, 1 hour digging the trench and then 1 hour filling it back in before I go home. Kind of like a speed bump in side out. LOL
Hello sandman, I guess that all depends on you definition of safe. it is not a legal nude beach. That said, If entering at High Island, you will want to drive at least 3 miles to get out of Galveston County. A lot of people drive about 7 miles and from there to past the old pier (about 10 miles) is where most of the nudists hang out. If you are totally nude, have something to cover up with when vehicles approach as families do drive up and down the beach and occasionally the Game Warden. If the GW catches you totally nude, he will write you a ticket. Other than that, most others are either fellow nudists or gawkers. If by safety you mean your physical security, I've had not encountered anyone with mischievous intentions. Either way, if you are concerned, most of the nudists are very friendly if you stop and chat and if you want to hang out, just politely ask them and they will politely say yes or no and just be respectful of either answer. Other than that, get naked and have fun!!
