So it is usually pretty sparse during the week. I've been out there a few times during the week and even in the best of weather, there is usually only a few nudists and a few people fishing. Definitely more people on the weekend. But regardless, it still feels soooo good to feel those hot UV rays on your bare buns!!
The Saturday crowd seems to be the largest and I would estimate the Sunday crowd to be about half the Saturday crowd on average. If you were looking for actual numbers, it is really hard to nail that down as it varies each weekend and the only trend I've seen is that there is always lots of people out on holiday weekends.
Just got out here, no one really waved as I drove by so just pulled off a little on my own. It's beautiful out here!
So here is what I've noticed, sometimes you have to initiate the wave. A lot of people on the beach are friendly but don't really pay a lot of attention to passing vehicles, especially if the windows are all rolled up and/or tinted because there are a lot of gawkers who have nothing better to do apparently than to stop a few hundred yards away and watch people with their binoculars. But if you roll your windows down, make eye contact and wave, people are more apt to wave back and chat if you stop. Just my experience.
